Remembering Paul Lee

By Dana Kroll, Uptown Marketing and Communications Specialist

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Paul Lee, who we proudly consider to be a founder of Uptown’s thriving Wealthy Street corridor as we know it to be today. Paul was instrumental in our district’s growth and his vision, dedication, and compassion have left a lasting legacy.

Paul’s commitment to his company, All In Hospitality Group (of which the restaurants Donkey Taqueria, Hancock, and The Winchester belong) and to his community inspired everyone around him. The ongoing success of his brands, which offer their patrons warm and welcoming spaces in which to break bread and make memories, live on as proof of his leadership and his focus on what really matters.

Paul’s selfless sharing of his ideas and talents extended into volunteerism; he served for many years as a board member of both our Corridor Improvement Authority and Business Improvement District, and in all ways his input was invaluable. We are profoundly grateful for the indelible mark that Paul has made in Uptown Grand Rapids.

Our hearts are with Paul’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. We will honor his memory by continuing the work that he cared so deeply about, in our district.
