Grand Rapids, Tuesday, November 4, 2025: Uptown Grand Rapids, Inc., in collaboration with its event sponsors, announces the return of the Uptown Shop Hop on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 3–9 p.m.
Now in its 28th consecutive year, Shop Hop is one of West Michigan’s most beloved holiday traditions, in which the organization invites the community to enjoy a night of shopping, dining, entertainment, and festive exploration across Uptown’s four business districts – Eastown, East Hills, Wealthy Street, and East Fulton. Event-goers will find an estimated 200 participating local businesses, pop-up vendors, buskers, food trucks, and vendors. The event is heralded as the region’s premier opportunity for the community to kick off the holiday season in a way that directly impacts and supports the local economy, and record-breaking business and attendee participation is anticipated once again for 2025.
The event will also include countless exclusive holiday experiences, live entertainment, interactive installations, festive dining options and much more, including:
- Free district transport on festive “jolly trolleys”
- Holiday Tree Lighting by Harmony Brewing Co.
- Third Annual Shop Hop Maker’s Market at the Fulton Street Farmers Market
- Photos with Santa
- A community-collaborative holiday elf scavenger hunt
“This year, we’re thrilled to welcome everyone to discover the magic of our district! Shop Hop is our favorite annual opportunity to bring the community together in a festive way, encouraging everyone to support our unique local businesses.” Ingrid Miller, Executive Director.
This event has been made possible in part thanks to the contributions of the following key sponsors: Pursuit of Happiness, Yesterdog, Feral, Terra GR, Rebel, and Sticky Fingers.
