Uptown GR, Inc. invites the public to participate in the organization’s first annual Uptown Impact Awards Voter’s Poll (now live) and subsequent celebration event (to be held on Wednesday, March 19th).
As is tradition, each year Uptown GR, Inc. hosts an open invitation to its Annual Meeting. This casual yet comprehensive presentation highlights the progress and key accomplishments Uptown GR has contributed to its constituency over the past twelve months.
This year, the public is invited to attend what is to be a celebratory gathering that not only offers reflection on the pastyear’s work by Uptown GR Inc., but is also an opportunity to fete the businesses, community members, and volunteers, whose contributions to Uptown GR’s objectives to build a district that Thrives, Invites, Moves, and Organizes, are vital.
Prefacing the event is the now-live Uptown GR Impact Awards Voter’s Poll. All are welcomed to cast their vote(s) for those Uptown businesses that they believe have gone above and beyond to help make the Uptown community stronger, more vibrant, and more welcoming. Voting categories include:
● The Community Support Award (Recognizes businesses that give back or uplift the community)
● The Best New Business Award (Recognizes outstanding businesses which have opened in the past year
● The Legacy Business Award (Recognizes best long-standing businesses which serve as district “anchors”)
● The Best Business Glow-Up Award (Recognizes businesses who have made significant visual improvements to building fronts/outdoor spaces, over the past year)
Winners of the Voter’s Poll will be announced during the event, which will be held at Mammoth Distilling, located in the heart of Uptown’s Wealthy Street District (710 Wealthy St. SE). The festivities begin at 5:30 pm and include a short presentation, complimentary charcuterie, a cash bar, plus the award ceremony and ample opportunity to mix and mingle with the business and volunteer community of Uptown.
