Uptown GR Inc. Presents Uptown Works Campaign

By Dana Kroll, Uptown Marketing and Communications Specialist

Uptown GR Inc. presents its Uptown Works marketing campaign, the objective of which is to offer support to the 360+ businesses located in its district, a large quantity of whom are experiencing hiring and staffing challenges at this time. These well documented challenges are being experienced cross-country and are ultimately considered to be an after effect of the pandemic lockdown. The campaign has been designed to be as equitable and user-friendly as possible so as to be able to positively affect as many of its businesses as is possible.

Research has shown that post-pandemic candidates have spent time reevaluating priorities as it pertains to the workplace, and many are now placing newfound value on previously overlooked intangibles; things like, experiencing a healthy, constructive, or creative workplace environment; positive culture; sense of community; diversity and inclusivity; and pride in one’s work.

The Uptown campaign will leverage its already well-established marketing language, which is that Uptown is ‘Your Favorite Place’ – to visit. To explore. To discover. To experience. With the kickoff of this campaign, it adds a new favorite to the list – that it can be ‘Your Favorite Place to Work.’

Per Ingrid Miller, Executive Director of Uptown GR. Inc.: “Uptown GR understands the immense burden felt by our small businesses during the current hiring crisis. That is why we are taking time to celebrate the numerous amazing reasons to work in our district, and for one of our outstanding businesses.”

The campaign includes this release as well as a full week’s worth of social media content exclusive to Uptown Works; a segment on Fox 17’s Morning Mix, airing the morning of Friday, October 1; and various supportive collateral such as a blog article, website features, a newsletter, and more.

Uptown consists of four business districts: Eastown, East Fulton, Wealthy Street, and East Hills. In all climates, Uptown celebrates its people, partnerships, and possibilities. Its mission is to sustain a strong and vibrant urban district through planning, coordinating, and communicating with and between all sectors of the Uptown community and beyond.
