Uptown GR, Inc. Seeks To Add New Role To Its Growing Organization

Grand Rapids, May 1, 2021: Uptown GR, Inc. is adding a new position to its growing organization. This continues its ongoing objective to support its more than 350 local businesses through four main goals: Ensuring the Uptown District ‘Thrives’, ‘Invites’, ‘Organizes’, and ‘Moves’.

Through the work of its Business Development Committee and in service toward its goal to ‘Thrive’, Uptown GR Inc. has identified a need for coordination in the areas of administration, communication, and marketing services for each of its four constituent business associations: thus, the creation of the Uptown Project Coordinator role. The part-time, contract position will report to Uptown’s Executive Director, Ingrid Miller and will provide much needed organization and support to the favorite Grand Rapids business districts: Eastown, East Hills, East Fulton, and Wealthy Street.

Per Miller: “Uptown Grand Rapids continues to elevate the level of service we provide our constituent groups and seeks a dynamic individual to join our team. It is our intent that this new position help increase communication and assist the business associations in Uptown so they may accomplish projects and programming more effectively. There is a lot of optimism surrounding this position; both for the immediate added capacity as well as the long-term growth potential.”
